Refund Policy

1. Overview
HanMo sells a digital, custom-made product (AI-generated Chinese calligraphy designs). Because each design is generated on demand based on your unique input and delivered immediately, all sales are generally final. We do, however, offer refunds in the specific cases described below — because we'd rather lose a transaction than leave you with something you can't use.
2. When you ARE eligible for a refund
- Technical delivery failure — you paid but no design was delivered within 24 hours and our support team cannot recover the order.
- Duplicate charge — you were charged more than once for the same order.
- Demonstrably incorrect translation — the delivered characters are objectively wrong (e.g. nonsense, broken glyphs, or a phrase that no native Chinese speaker would consider a valid rendering of your intent). Subjective stylistic dissatisfaction does not qualify; please see Section 4.
- Order cancelled by us under Section 6 of the Terms of Service (acceptable-use violation determined after payment).
3. When you are NOT eligible for a refund
- You changed your mind about the wording, style, or placement after the design was delivered.
- A third-party professional you commissioned separately refused to use the artwork or executed it in a way you did not expect — that is between you and them.
- You decided after seeing the artwork that you no longer wanted to use it.
- You were dissatisfied with one specific calligraphy style but received the style you selected.
- The order was placed more than 14 days ago.
4. Free re-design instead of refund
If you are unhappy with the delivered design but it does not qualify for a refund under Section 2, we will gladly generate a free additional set of options (one re-roll per order) so you can try a different angle, style or wording. Just reply to your delivery email within 14 days.
5. How to request a refund
- Email jqst1927@gmail.com within 14 days of your purchase.
- Include your order ID (in your delivery email and Gumroad receipt) and a short description of the issue.
- For translation-quality claims, please attach the screenshot of the delivered design.
We aim to respond within 2 business days. Approved refunds are processed by Gumroad, our Merchant of Record, and typically appear on your statement within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before filing a chargeback with your bank. Almost every issue can be resolved faster directly with us. Unjustified chargebacks may result in your account being blocked from future purchases.
